If you are new, here is how our event works:

that works best for you. You choose your starting winery and
determine if you would like to complete the Wine Trail in 1 day or 2.

2)  Purchase your passport:  use the paypal button on this website OR call ahead to your starting winery and reserve your passport with a credit card; OR purchase passports the day of the event at any of the 7 wineries,

3)  Then the FUN begins, as you travel along the wine trail and
experience each wineries' offerings of  food, paired
with a select Iowa wine. Take time to sample other wines along
with the ambiance that each unique winery offers!!

Looking forward to seeing you on the
Western Iowa Wine Trail!

Breezy Hills Vineyard

Embark on a journey to one of the Heartland’s newest tourist destinations featuring fine wine, great food, and cultural events!

Seven wineries currently dot the wine trail stretching from Elk Horn to Thurman and back to Crescent.  All of the wineries along the trail offer free tasting (often poured by the winemakers themselves), local art works, and retail wine sales. Many offer sales of wine by the glass and food items to be enjoyed on their decks or in their tasting rooms.

The Western Iowa Wine Trail wineries are producing award-winning wines from “cold climate” grape varieties and locally produced fruits. The winemakers are always ready to visit about their unique wines and love to show off their wineries and vineyards. You’ll find that the wine and hospitality at our small wineries is excellent!

As you’re traveling our wine trail, enjoy the region’s designated scenic byways and their awesome hilltop views amidst Western Iowa’s Loess Hills.  We look forward to seeing you soon on the Western Iowa Wine Trail!
