Around the World on the Western Iowa Wine Trail
Saturday, April 27, 2013 ~ 10 am to 6 pm  The Western Iowa Wine Trail proudly presents our annual Around the World on the Western Iowa Wine Trail! Embark on a spring Western Iowa Wine Trail event that will transport your tastebuds to foods from around the world! Once again, the 7 western Iowa wineries along the trail, will be working together to bring you a unique experience and the opportunity to taste how versatile our wines can be, paired with food from "around the world." Your passport will take you on culinary destinations like China, Jamaica, Thailand, and Italy! Expect pours of selected Iowa wines, paired with each wineries' culinary offerings. At your beginning stop, receive a complimentary wineglass that you can use along the way! Be sure to visit all the wineries to collect a special gift for the first 100 passport purchasers at each destination! Passports can be purchased up to a week before the event through OR call your starting winery to reserve your passport with a credit card

Seven wineries currently dot the wine trail stretching from Elk Horn to Thurman and back to Crescent. All of the wineries along the trail offer free tasting (often poured by the winemakers themselves), local art works, and retail wine sales. Many offer sales of wine by the glass and food items to be enjoyed on their decks or in their tasting rooms. The
Western Iowa Wine Trail wineries are producing award-winning wines from
“cold climate” grape varieties and locally produced fruits. The
winemakers are always ready to visit about their unique wines and love
to show off their wineries and vineyards. You’ll find that the wine and
